Finally Friday

Well its finally Friday, and we are tired. We just got back from bible study, it was good but we didn't have much energy tonight, none of us did. This week marked a few ends, we finished state testing, my class finished chapter 5 (one more chapter to go), and April is almost done.
Tomorrow should be a fun day, I am going with a few friends to participate in a golf tournament. It's a fundraiser for one of our local high schools. We are playing 18 holes, 4 man best ball, starting at 8 in the morning at Hesperia Country Club (more like a run down public course). I don't know if we will win, but I would like to, just me being competitive.
Another thing that I have started lately is playing basketball once a week with some friends from school. Its nice, 3 v 3 or 4 v 4 for a couple hours. This started about a month ago when we decided to take on our 8th grade basketball team. We ended up winning, but it was closer than it should have been. So, with that in mind we have continued to play and get better.
Another thing that Gab and I have decided to do is go on the 8th grade field trip. The school is taking the 8th graders to Knott's Berry Farm and need some chaperones to watch over the kids. The nice thing is, is that we ride down with them on the bus and then we can do whatever we want. It's nice, because a lot of my students will be going, so I can still build that connection. The hard part about the end of the year is that I am finally building some connections with my kids, but in a month or so, they will be gone. I don't know how many times I will get to enjoy their company (for good or bad), but I hope to make it worth it. Well, its 9:30, and I am tired, maybe get some rest.
