While in Oregon

While we were in Oregon we did get to spend some time with our dear friends, the Browns! We secretly met Kara at the airport with Jeff. She didn't know we were going to be there, which is always fun. We had planned on going to Chili's (Kara's pregnant and she and the baby needed to have Chili's), but they were closed, so we went to the ever-faithful Olive Garden. The next day we planned to meet and possibly go mini golfing. Unfortunately the weather didn't cooperate, so we ended up going to a nickel arcade where we played a lot of some hunting game the guys found. Along the way we tried stopping at three more Chili's to satisfy the craving Kara was having. ALL THREE WERE CLOSED!!! Two looked like they had been abandoned and the other was closed thanks to some idiot manager who had been embezzling!

Despite our failed Chili's attempts, it was still a good time had by all!

Visit To Oregon - Ludi

We went up to Oregon on June 5 and spent about a week up there. We visited many people, family, friends and some beautiful waterfalls. We started off getting in and getting our car. We would have had a nice little small gas efficient car, but when we got into it, it had no power. The battery was dead, so we ended up getting a larger car, a Susuki. (why do they still make those?) We ended driving to my parents and having Wall Street Pizza, awesome, though it was not up to its normal standards.

The next day we kinda did our own thing, we went to Changs Mongolian Grill, great place to eat, cheap, but some serious after effects. burps and other things. It was great though, then we ended up going into Portland and going to Powell's books, we also walked around Portland.

That Sunday a very dear friend of ours, Matt "if there is a Will there is a Way" Will came into town with his wife. His wife hung out with some friends and we got to take Matt to some of my favorite places. We started off with Crown Point, and then down the gorge to visit the falls. Pictures are attached, we had a lot of fun and saw some of God's best work. Matt and Abby had to fly out the next day, so we took them to the airport and said goodbye.

We ended hanging with my parents a little longer and had some more good food. I am glad that I got to see Dan and my sister Sue and her husband Dave. I did get a chance to see Marlene, but that was it for the extended family.

Thanks mom for having Gab play bunco, and giving Dan and I a chance to go to the movies with Dad.
